SAVE THE DATE: Labor Day Tridge Walk

  • The Tridge Downtown Midland Midland, MI (map)

Stay tuned for more details!

The history of the Labor Day Tridge Walk: In 1992, Judge Henry Hart and a group of friends started a tradition when they crossed over the Tridge, over the confluence of the Chippewa and Tittabawassee rivers in downtown Midland. This walk sparked the beginnings of the Annual Labor Day Tridge Walk.

The Tridge Walk typically includes music, special guest speakers and family-friendly activities. During the walk, participants traverse the Tridge from Downtown Midland to Chippewassee Park.

The tradition has evolved over the years, and there have been many generous entities that have hosted the event, such as the Salvation Army, the Midland Area Community Foundation, and the Chippewa Nature Center. In recent years leading up to the COVID pandemic, the Midland Rotary Clubs have continued the tradition.
